Kobina Abakah-Paintsil: is very passionate about technology and how it can be used as a channel for development. He graduated from University of Mines and Technology in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Before starting Klaks Technologies with his colleagues he worked on various projects. In his days at Mfantsipim School a prestigious secondary high school in Ghana, he worked on sugarcane based ethanol fuel for vehicles. In his second year in the university he helped in the design and implementation of an automated office and lecture room energy efficiency system which won 3rd prize at the university’s annual Innovation Fair 2015. In his third year he again helped in the design and implementation of a home appliance system control based on GSM which won second place university’s annual Innovation Fair 2016. In his final year he led the Klaks Team to win first place at university’s annual Innovation Fair 2017 with the 3D printer. He also won third place with his team Smart Drains at the CG Hackathon organized by the parent Creativity Group body. During his stay in the university he served as a Vice-president Administration in Creativity Group-UMaT Chapter, an association whose main goal was to spearhead innovative and technological advancement in their respective communities. During his tenure, he served as a volunteer to teach electronics to high school students and helped organize exhibition fairs and Makerthons for the University community.He also has skills in digital fabrication. Kobina, is passionate about documentation, planning, practicality and execution of ideas. His entrepreneurial drive which he developed through management of family business enables us to provide a sense of direction and economic feasibility and good leadership.
